EFFECT OF HINDERED PHENOLS AO-80 / AO-1035 ON DAMPING PROPERTIES OF ACRYLATE RUBBER
Abstract:
Two different structure hindered phenol AO-80 and AO-1035 were used as damping agents, and the effects of blending ratio of hindered phenols on the damping properties, storage stability and aging resistance of acrylate rubber (ACM) vulcanizates were investigated. The results showed that the vulcanizates presented only one glass transition temperatures (Tg), indicating the hindered phenol had a good compatibility with the ACM matrix. With increase of hindered phenol AO-80, Tg shifted gradually toward higher temperature. When the two kinds of hindered phenols were blended, the effective damping temperature range (the loss peak value noless than 0. 5) of the vulcanizates was more than that of a single hindered phenol, exhibiting excellent synergistic effect. The storage stability of the vulcanizate was the best when the mass ratio of AO-80 /AO-1035 was 45 /15,and the effective damping temperature was 31. 5 ℃ . With prolonging the aging time, the loss peak value of the vulcanizates decreased gradually, and the effective damping temperature range changed little. When the mass ratio of AO-80 / AO-1035 was 30 /30, the aging resistance was the best.
