Effect of Nano-ATO on Performance of Double Layer Co-Extrusion PE-LD Agricultural Shed Film

Abstract

Antimony  doped  tin  oxide(nano-ATO)linear  low  density  polyethylene(PE-LD) dual-layer agricultural shed film was prepared  by  double-layer  co-extrusion  blow  moldingand  the  nano-ATOPE-LD shed film was UV aged. The compatibility of nano-ATO with different contents in the master batch of inner and outer layers of composite canopy film was studied by Fourier transform  infrared  spectroscopy(FTIR)and the influence of nano-ATO dosage on the droplet propertytensile  property  and  light transmittance of composite canopy film was discussed. The results show that PE-LD is compatible with antioxidantUV absorberoleic acid amidedroplet and nano-ATO treated with silane coupling agent. The addition of nano-ATO can improve the droplet prop erty of the inner layer of the canopy and the tensile strength of the canopybut it can reduce the light transmittance of the canopy.


Nano-ATO has a reflection or refraction effect on ultraviolet lightwhich can reduce the aging degree of the canopy film. Thereforethe decline of tensile strength and light transmittance of the canopy film after ultraviolet aging will be slowed down. According to the comprehensive judgmentwhen the addition amount of nano-ATO is 2%-3%the composite shed film has better aging resistance and other comprehensive properties.
